Pure rarely explains exactly why it closed access. Let's look at the grounds the service itself names, how a freeze differs from a permanent ban, and what happens to your profile and chats in the process.

Learn more about unbanWhy Pure doesn't state the exact reason
Pure doesn't disclose how its moderation works and usually doesn't say what exactly triggered the block — the email lists only general grounds. How to narrow down the possibilities for your specific case is covered separately: how to find out the reason for a Pure ban.
What an account can be blocked for
Among the grounds Pure itself names:
- multiple accounts for one person;
- photos from the internet or other people's pictures in the profile;
- impersonation and misleading other users;
- fraud and commercial use of the service;
- mods, clones, and third-party clients;
- prohibited content.
Pure analyzes photos and chats automatically, and a public profile photo is scrutinized more closely than private messages. Either way, the service won't give you the exact wording for your account.
Freeze and permanent ban are different types
| Type of block | What it is | Private chats |
|---|---|---|
| Freeze | Account under manual Pure moderation review | Read manually by moderators |
| Permanent ban | Final, indefinite block on the account | Deleted, not recoverable |
Sometimes the ban is issued immediately; sometimes the account is frozen first and closed afterward. More on duration — how long a Pure ban lasts.
What happens to your profile and chats
After a block, past chats are not kept: Pure deletes them and does not restore them when access is regained. A repeat violation leads to a final block.
What to do if you're already blocked
Don't rush to create new accounts at random — from the same device they get banned just as quickly. First steps — banned on Pure: what to do; how to get access back without a repeat block — here.
